How much do custom challenge coins cost?
It depends on the coin type, size, quantity and color. At 200 pieces, a 2.0" metal coin with color on one side is $4.37 each, a Quick UV coin is $4.26 and a 50 mm ceramic coin is $3.29. Prices fall as quantity rises: a 2.0" die struck metal coin is $3.82 each at 200, $3.50 at 300 and $3.06 at 5,000, and every price includes artwork, proofs and shipping.
What is included in the price?
Prices shown are the total cost for artwork, revisions, proofs, custom shapes, an individual coin pouch and insured shipping. There are no hidden costs and no additional fees, except a mold fee if you are ordering metal coins under 300 pieces. Intricate 3D elements and cut-outs may incur extra charges, and we quote those with your free proof.
What is the mold fee, and when is it free?
A mold is the die your metal coin is struck from. Orders under 300 coins pay a one-time mold fee that grows with the size, from $100 for a 1.5" coin to $300 for a 4" coin ($150 at 2.0"). From 300 coins the mold fee is free. Quick UV coins have no mold fee at any quantity.
Does color cost extra?
On metal coins, yes, a little: at 200 coins a 2.0" coin is $3.82 die struck, $4.37 with color on one side and $4.64 with color on both sides. Ceramic coins include color on both sides at no extra cost, and Quick UV coins print full photo color edge to edge.
How do edge, plating and packaging upgrades work?
Upgrades are added per coin to the base price. Standard flat, chain, rope and spur edges are free, polished gold, nickel, copper and brass plating is free, and the PVC envelope is included. Other options add cents per coin, for example an antique silver finish is $0.35 per coin. The price builder above adds them up for you.
How long until I have my coins?
Metal coins typically take 3 to 3.5 weeks for production and delivery after approval. Quick UV coins take 10 business days or less after artwork approval and payment. Need them by a date? Tell us up front: rush service is available for an extra charge, except to APO, FPO or international addresses.
Do you ship to APO, FPO and DPO addresses?
Yes. We ship anywhere in the USA and to any APO, FPO or DPO address. Shipping is free on most U.S. orders.
What is the smallest order I can place?
Metal and Quick UV coins are priced from 5 pieces, and ceramic coins from 25. Small orders cost more per coin, so a quote at 25 or 50 is often worth comparing. We offer hassle-free estimates and artwork along with a low price guarantee.

Achieve a timeless look with die struck and colored metal coins, in premium finishes like gold, silver, bronze, copper, nickel or black, polished, matte or antique. Reach the 300-piece threshold to unlock zero mold fees. Under 300 pieces, a one-time mold fee applies, from $100 for a 1.5 inch coin to $300 for a 4 inch coin.
Ceramic Coins
Ceramic coins deliver a modern and high-end finish, with a premium ceramic-like coating on a smooth, hard surface. Double-sided printing comes at no extra cost. For a classic feel, the 39 mm and 43 mm options match standard poker chips, and the 52 mm coin is the heaviest option and uniquely available in a 5 mm thickness.
Quick UV Coins
Get vibrant, full-color challenge coins in record time. Quick UV coins have zero mold fees and a substantial 3.5 mm thickness for a premium weight and feel. To keep production super fast, custom upgrades are not available for this product line.
Custom Badges, Pins and Patches
Badges come in officer grade, with a lifetime guarantee, thick no-wear plating and a high-polish finish for daily duty, or display grade for display, promotional items and any non-daily use. Lapel pins are made in enamel or die struck metal, or offset printed, with a free mold fee. Patches are embroidered at 50%, 75% or 100% coverage, or made in PVC, woven, printed or leather.
Upgrades That Change the Price of a Coin
Upgrades are added to the price of each coin, so you always see exactly what one adds. Standard flat, chain, rope and spur edges are free, and so are polished gold, polished nickel, black nickel, polished copper and polished brass finishes. A clear PVC envelope for every coin is included.
Priced per Side
Options like hard enamel, an epoxy dome, glow in the dark enamel and patterned edges are priced per side. A coin has two sides, so the price builder counts them twice. Options priced per color, like glitter or pearl enamel, are counted for each color on each side.
